Transferring Files with Android Beam

Note: This only works with Android 5.0.

So, you have a picture, video or another other file type that you want to transfer from one phone to another? Well, you know that thing called Android Beam, ya the thing in that Motorola Droid commercial. Google made some huge improvements to it, so you can use it to transfer any file type. Here’s how:

Step one: Download ES File Explorer (or any other file explorer that has been updated to 5.0) on both devices.

Step two: Open the app and find the file.

Step three: Hold down on the file and tap ‘Share’, then ‘Android Beam’.

Step four: Wait for the files to transfer and bam, you’re done.

You can also use the share button (the three dots connected by two lines) in almost any app and do the same thing.
